Last month, Infinix introduced its budget smartphone
dubbed Infinix S5 in India. The smartphone comes with a punch-hole display and
a 32MP selfie camera. Well, the smartphone maker is now planning to launch yet
another affordable device in the country. This time we’re looking at the
Infinix S5 Lite. As the name suggests, it is going to be a Lite or tone-down
variant of the Infinix S5. Like the regular variant, the smartphone will
feature a punch-hole camera on the front.
Recently, the product page of the device appeared
online on Flipkart, the popular e-commerce platform of India. Flipkart’s teaser
of the smartphone reveals a few key aspects of the smartphone. For starters,
Infinix S5 Lite will feature a punch-hole display at a much affordable price
point. Speaking of price, the smartphone is priced at INR 7,999 (US$ 111)
making it the cheapest device to come with such display. Sadly, the exact
launch date of the device is still unknown. Since the teaser is already up, we
might see the device going official in the coming weeks. Furthermore, it is
quite obvious that the device is going to be a Flipkart Exclusive smartphone.
Luckily, the smartphone has already made its way to
the Nigerian market giving us a complete look at the specifications. Talking about the specs, Infinix
S5 Lite is equipped with a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display featuring punch hole
cameras. The device runs on the Helio P22 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB
storage. The device features a triple rear camera module along with a single
16MP selfie shooter on the front. The rear module consists of a 32MP primary
sensor, 2MP secondary sensor and a QVGA lens.
The phone is fueled by a massive
4,000mAh battery with fast charging support. On the software front, the phone
runs on the latest version of Android i.e. Android 9.0 Pie.
