Towards the end of last month, we saw the first set
of leaks for the upcoming Huawei MatePad Pro. It immediately caught out
attention with its slim bezels and punch-hole display. Now, the upcoming tablet
appears to have cleared China’s 3C certification agency and we get to learn
some more details.
The listing clearly states the certified device is a
tablet, coming with the MRX-W09 and MRX-AL09 model numbers which are presumably
the Wi-Fi and LTE variants. Another new bit of info is the support for 40W
Huawei SuperCharge just like the Mate 30 series.
According to past rumors, the MatePad Pro will pack
a 2560 x 1440 resolution display alongside the Kirin 990 SoC and up to 8GB of
RAM. Huawei will also offer a smart keyboard that connects via magnetic
pogo pins and an M-Pen stylus. The most recent leak showed renders of the
MatePad Pro in 4 colors which include white, black, green and orange.
There is still no word on when the MatePad Pro is expected
to make its debut but now that it's starting to collect the required
certificates, it shouldn't be long.
