Google also announced its latest Pixelbook Go laptop at the hardware event in
New York. Pixelbook Go is a portable laptop with a touchscreen display, runs on
ChromeOS, comes with an even bigger battery compared to 2017 Pixelbook and
more.
Google Pixelbook Go features a lightweight design
with textured bottom, sleek matte finish
and magnesium casing and it sports a 13.3-inch touchscreen display with up to
4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). It comes in 4 different variants and is
powered by up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor paired with up to 16GB RAM
with up to 256GB SSD storage.
It runs on Chrome OS that “starts up in seconds and
stays fast with automatic updates”, sports a 1080p webcam, and dual
front-firing speakers. Google has also improved the keyboard on the Pixelbook
Go with a full-size backlit keyboard, Hush keys to minimise noise disruption,
and a dedicated Google Assistant key. It also comes with Titan C security chip,
built-in FIDO authenticator and sensors like Ambient Light sensor and Magnetic
sensor. This laptop promises to deliver up to 12 hours of battery life and 2
hours of battery on just 20 minutes of charging.
