Meizu will announce a new smartphone on October 23.
The phone will launch as the Meizu 16T and will come with a bigger display and
bigger battery than the already released Meizu 16s and Meizu 16s Pro. However,
it will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor.
Ahead of its release which is still about 2 weeks
away, a Chinese store listed the device for pre-order and therefore revealed
its price. According to screenshots taken and posted on Weibo, the Meizu 16T
will have a starting price of ¥ 2499 (US$ 352). This price should be for the base
model which has 128GB of storage. There is also a 256GB version but the price
is not known.
The listing also confirms the phone will be unveiled
on October 23 and adds that there will be gifts for those who pre-order. The Meizu 16T is also shown in blue sporting triple
rear cameras and with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Other confirmed specs
of the phone are a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and an
18.5:9 aspect ratio. It will have 6GB of 8GB of RAM, a 16MP selfie camera, and
a 12MP + 10MP + 5MP triple rear cameras. Along with the big display is a
4400mAh battery. The Meizu 16T will run Android 9 Pie out of the box.
