Meizu’s latest flagship, the Meizu 16s Pro, has been
out for a couple months. Now, we aren’t aware whether the phone is doing good
or not on the market but it’d seem that it is as the company just unveiled a
new variant of the device. We’re talking about out the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage
Black Mirror Edition now on sale on Chinese retail site Jingdong for 2999 yuan,
around US$ 420.
Aside from the new Black glossy finish on the back,
the smartphone packs the same hardware as the regular Meizu 16S Pro, this means
we find a full-edge full-screen design with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display
with 103% NTSC color gamut, 96.1% DCI-P3 color gamut, along with DC dimming and
a touch sampling rate of 160 Hz. The smartphone also comes with a Qualcomm
Snapdragon 855+ with UFS 3.0 storage, dual super linear speakers and mEngine
3.0. It also supports OneMind 3.5.
In the camera department, we have a 48MP Sony IMX586
sensor + 20MP Sony IMX350 + 16MP super wide-angle Sony IMX481. This camera
system supports OIS four-axis optical anti-shake. On the front, we have a 20MP
shooter which supports AI beauty. Furthermore, the Meizu 16s Pro comes with a
3600 mAh.
Other specs on the Meizu 16S Pro include Wi-Fi
802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-frequency GPS, NFC. This device also comes with a
brand new Alive Design, equipped with the new Aicy voice assistant, Game Mode
4.0 and Small Window Mode 2.0. Finally, we have a very slim body with a
thickness of 7.65mm and light at just 166 grams.
