Huawei has launched five smartphones already under
its nova 5 series, and the company today announced it will soon launch the
sixth one, dubbed nova 5z. Huawei posted an image on Chinese social network Weibo to make the
announcement and reveal the phone's design and a few specs.
As you can see, the Huawei nova 5z looks similar to
the nova 5i Pro. It has a punch-hole display on the front and on the back is a
fingerprint reader keeping company to the quad camera setup placed in the
center in a square formation.
The image reveals that this camera setup is a
combination of a 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor
modules. For selfies and video calls, you will get a 32MP camera on the front,
and the phone will be powered by the Kirin 810 SoC.
In case you haven't noticed already, the nova 5i Pro
comes with the same chipset and cameras, so it remains to be seen how Huawei
will differentiate the two devices. Huawei hasn't revealed the launch
date of the nova 5z yet. But, if the date on the lockscreen of the phone is
anything to go by, we will see it go official on October 21.
