Coolpad today announced a new
budget smartphone, dubbed Cool 5. The Coolpad Cool 5 is built
around a 6.22" 19:9 display that has 720p resolution and small bezels on
all four sides. The screen also has a waterdrop notch up top which houses the
16MP selfie camera.
Around the back, we get a fingerprint reader joined
by a dual camera setup which is a combination of 13MP main and 2MP depth sensor
modules. On the inside, the Coolpad Cool 5 has a Helio P22 SoC paired with 4GB
RAM. The smartphone boots Android Pie and has 64GB of storage onboard, though
it also has a microSD card slot, which allows storage expansion by up to 128GB.
The Coolpad Cool 5 is offered in Gradient Blue and
Midnight Blue colors and packs a 4,000 mAh battery which draws power through a
USB-C port. The Cool 5 is priced at INR 7,999 (US$ 110/€ 105) and is available for
purchase in India through Amazon.in.
