At the announcement of its new charging technologies
this week, OPPO revealed that the successor to the K3 is coming, and the phone
which will launch as the OPPO K5 will be the first to feature its new VOOC 4.0
Flash Charge. The spec sheet of the phone has now leaked and it reveals the
OPPO K5 is an upper mid-range phone.
The spec sheet was posted on Weibo by @Digital chat
station. The sheet shows the OPPO K5 will have a 6.4-inch 2340 x 1080 display.
The phone measures 158.7 x 75.2 x 8.6 millimeters, making it smaller than the
OPPO K3.
Inside the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G
processor and it is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. OPPO has
packed four cameras on the back of the phone – a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP
camera, and two 2MP sensors most likely for Macro shots and depth capturing.
The selfie camera is a 32MP sensor.
The OPPO K5 will pack a 4000mAh battery with support
for 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging via a USB Type-C port. It will also have an audio
jack. There is no mention of support for a MicroSD card neither is there
mention of the version of Android it is running.
The specs of the phone are identical to that of the
Realme X2 which hints at it being a rebrand of the OPPO K5. The Realme X2 spec
sheet reveals the phone has an AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, so we
expect the same display type for the K5 with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
