Oppo recently introduced its new Reno lineup with
four cameras, but now another series is also getting the quad-cam treatment.
The Oppo A9 2020 appeared on the Facebook page of the Vietnamese division of
the company and it looks intriguing - four shooters with the main being 48 MP,
5,000 mAh battery and 8 GB RAM.
The phone is expected to have 6.5” display and we
are hearing it might have an HD+ screen, although with such specs, a 1080p
resolution is more believable. It should be an LCD, since the fingerprint
scanner is on the back, below the camera setup.
In a series of leaks, Sudhanshu Ambhore reveals more
details about the device. In one tweet, he reveals the phone has a 6.5-inch HD+
display with a 1600 x 720 resolution. There is a 16MP camera inside the notch
and the primary rear cameras is a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP camera
and two 2MP sensors. We believe the 2MP sensors are for depth capturing and
macro photography. He also revealed the phone weighs 195 grams.
In another tweet, he shared TENAA images of the
phone as well as dimensions. The OPPO A9 2020 measures 163.6 x 75.6 x 9.1
millimeters and its model number is revealed to be PCHM30.
A separate leak suggested the phone will have
Snapdragon 665 chipset, 16 MP front camera, hidden in a regular waterdrop
notch, while the setup on the back will be 48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP. The
software will be ColorOS 6.1, based on Android Pie.
All these specs sound very attractive, and we can
only hope we don’t have to wait for the Oppo A9 until 2020, as the name
suggests.
