Today Lenovo has unveiled its latest all-in-one PC
system in the form of the Lenovo IdeaCentre A540, inspired by the balanced
asymmetry of a Chinese Cypress tree. The asymmetric design offers a Qi wireless
charging pad integrated into the base of the system and the all-in-one is
expected to go on sale next month with prices starting from US$ 799.
The Lenovo IdeaCentre A540 will be available with
both 24 and 27 inch displays and 10-point touchscreen is optional on either
display size. The Lenovo A540 can be powered by a variety of Intel 9th
generation processors, Core i3, i5, and i7 supported by AMD Radeon RX 540X and
560X graphics the ability to add up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of SSD
storage or 2 TB of hard drive storage.
As far as connectivity goes the 24-inch version
includes 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port, 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A pots, 2 xUSB
2.0 ports, HDMI in and out, and an SD card reader. While the 27-inch is
equipped with similar connectivity but rather than a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port
is equipped with a handy USB-C port.
