Basic Fun! The company behind the portable version
of The Oregon Trail released last year is preparing to launch a handheld
version of the original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? game. The and
held the game relies on just four buttons and a four-way directional pad for
in-game control and the handheld will be available sometime during the fall of
2019 priced at US$ 25.
As you can see, the
pocket handheld sports a retro design inspired by 1980s era computers and
features a non-functional floppy disk drive.
Powered by three double-A batteries the console
features :
- Retro playback: auxiliary graphics, sounds and game as you remember.
- True to the original – based on the iconic computer game
- Share – perfect for fans or collectors looking to share this classic with the new generation.
If you have fond memories of playing this series of
educational mystery games in the new retro styled handheld complete with the
original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? game I’d definitely be worth
more investigation.
