Asus announced the global arrival of ROG Phone II at
IFA 2019, but the phone’s availability was not the only thing the company
unveiled today. The Taiwan manufacturer also introduced a smartwatch called Vivowatch
SP with ECG capabilities that tracks your blood pressure and stress levels.
The watch comes with GPS and an altimeter for more
precise exercise data, especially when you are in areas with poor coverage. The gadget also comes with Asus
HealthAI that should guide you based on your stats and habits and the company
says the platform was developed with leading health experts.
Since the Vivowatch SP is aimed at active people, it
is waterproof up to 5ATM (that 50 meters depth). The ceramic bezel reduces
fingerprints, and it can match your style with the changeable bands. The
company promises 14-day non-stop life for the Vivowatch SP but stays silent on
which features must stay turned off in order to achieve the impressive battery
performance.
Asus is launching Vivowatch SP in Q4 2019, but we
expect pricing and market availability to be revealed later this year, likely
when the actual launch takes place.
