Starting from today, the Black Shark 2 Pro gaming
smartphone is available for purchase in China. The handset comes in two models
such as 12 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage in the home
market. It appears that Xiaomi may sell the phone in more models since newer
variants have been spotted on its TENAA listing.
The above shown screenshot from the TENAA listing of
the Black Shark 2 Pro that has a model number of DLT-A0 shows that it has RAM
variants such as 6 GB and 8 GB RAM. The listing also shows a new storage model
of 512 GB for the smartphone. The company is currently selling the 12 GB RAM +
128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage editions of the Black Shark 2 Pro
with respective price tags of 2,999 Yuan (US$ 434) and 3,499 Yuan (US$ 507).
Probably, the company may continue to sell the
smartphone in 12 GB RAM variants for few more weeks before announcing its
cheaper versions. The 6 GB RAM + 128 GB / 256 GB storage could be the cheapest
edition of the Black Shark 2 Pro.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has a full HD+
6.39-inch notch-less S-AMOLED display that’s integrated with an in-screen
fingerprint scanner. The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery that supports 27W
fast charging. The Android 9 Pie OS on the device is customized with Black
Shark OS UI.
The Black Shark 2 Pro has a front-facing camera of
20-megapixel. The rear side of the smartphone features a 48-megapixel +
12-megapixel dual camera setup. The Snapdragon 855+ chipset fuels the
smartphone and it comes with UFS 3.0 storage. The handset lacks support for
microSD card slot, and it does not feature a 3.5mm audio jack. Electric Black
and Ice Ash are the two color editions of the Black Shark 2 Pro.
