At the beginning of the month, two Vivo phones were
seen on Geekbench. The first, with model number V1916, is powered by the
Snapdragon 665 processor while the other with model number V1918 is powered by
a Snapdragon 710 processor. We have been expecting both phones to show up on
TENAA so we can get more details but that is yet to happen. However, TENAA
added an entirely new device with the model number V1928A to its database
complete with full specs.
The Vivo V1928A packs a 6.358-inch screen with a 720
x 1544 resolution. There is a notch in the display for the front-facing camera.
It also has a 2.0GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
Depending on the RAM variant, the phone will come with either 32GB of storage
or 64GB of storage. A MicroSD card slot will allow you to add an extra 256GB of
space.
The phone has triple rear cameras – a 13MP primary
sensor paired with an 8MP camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The cameras are
arranged vertically on the left and share the same housing. There is an LED
flash below the setup while a fingerprint scanner sits in the middle.
The Vivo V1928A has an 8MP camera for selfies. There
is a massive 4880mAh battery under the hood and TENAA says there is support for
fast charging. The phone will run Android 9 Pie out of the box. TENAA says its dimensions are
159.43 x 76.77 x 8.92 millimeters while the weight is 190.5 grams. The listing
says it will be available in one color- Gold, but the attached images are of a
blue variant.
We have no info about the phone’s release but it
should be around the corner.
