Sonos Bluetooth speaker



Details of a new portable Sonos Bluetooth speaker have been leaked this week thanks to a filing with the FCC. Revealing a new product in the form of the Sonos S17 “a high-performance wireless speaker and part of the Sonos sound system”. No official announcement has been made by Sonos but the new portable speaker will be equipped with Bluetooth audio streaming and Bluetooth Low Energy for a “simplified setup” and has been primarily created to provide a streaming speaker.

The new device will also introduce a new technology by Sonos in the form of Auto Trueplay which allows the speaker to automatically tunes it sound. Thanks to integrated rechargeable battery that can also be recharged using an included base station and USB-C port.

Spotting the new Sonos Bluetooth speaker at the FCC indicates that the new hardware is close to launch and is expected to be officially unveiled in the coming months. Although it may not be showcased at the upcoming IFA tech expo taking place at the beginning of September 2019.
