Garmin launched an all-new series of Forerunner
smartwatches fitted with more features. It comes with 4 new models. There are 4 new smartwatches in
the series namely the Forerunner 45, 245, 245 Music and 945. The devices now
come with sporting music capabilities, full-color mapping, advanced training,
safety, and tracking features. They are designed to monitor stats, athlete's
performance, training history, goals, and more.
Designed for casual and beginner runners, Forerunner
45 is the perfect companion for training for your first race or starting a new
exercise program. Aside from tracking your heart rate and GPS integration, it
can also record stats from cycling workouts, elliptical, cardio, yoga, and
more.
It is designed to be worn 24/7 to track daily steps,
distance walked, calories burned, sleep and stress levels. It also features
Body Battery energy monitoring that provides information for users to focus on
for their wellness plan. The Forerunner 45 can go for 7 hours on smartwatch
mode and 13 hours in GPS mode.
Forerunner 245 and 245 Music adds more features to
GPS running smartwatch series. For one, the 245 Music can store up to 500 songs
and lets users sync playlist from select music streaming services like Spotify. Both also include performance
monitoring tools like VO1 max and training status with adjustments for heat,
recovery time and aerobic and anaerobic training effects, It also has six
running dynamics built-in the watch, Pulse OX sensor that gauges oxygen absorption,
and 7 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, up to 24 hours on GPS mode, and
up to 6 hours on GPS with music mode.
Forerunner 945 is the premium running and triathlon
smartwatch that can hold up to 1,000 songs and support for playlist sync from
music streaming services like Spotify. It can show full-colored, onboard maps.
It also has robust performance monitoring tools. It also has a new training
load focus feature that allows athletes to sort recent training history into
different categories according to activity structure and intensity.
Users can also see all six running dynamics on their
watch with the use of a Running Dynamics Pod or a compatible heart rate strap.
This is intended to be worn 24/7 so that the Forerunner 945 can provide
athletes with additional insights to their body’s performance. With Pulse Ox 4, users can see how well their body
is absorbing oxygen. The Forerunner 945 features up to two weeks of battery
life in smartwatch mode, up to 36 hours in GPS mode and up to ten hours in GPS
mode with music.
