If you are in the habit of misplacing your stuff
like car keys or smartphone, this latest device by Xiaomi may be of help to
you. Xiaomi yesterday announced an anti-lost device which is a bit different
from the ones you may have encountered. The Xiaomi Booty Smart Anti-lost device
comes with a compact design with a one-click object search button and two-way
search function. At the same time, it can cover an ultra-long distance of 15
meters, and the ultra-thin design is convenient to carry.
The booty smart anti-lost device has a compact
design with a dimension of 42x42x8mm and weighs only 10g. It is light and
stylish, and has a skin-friendly touch. It is equipped with a specially
designed leather lanyard that can be hung on backpacks, wallets and other
personal belongings.
Perhaps, the most interesting feature on the smart
anti-lost device is the two-way mutual search function. If it is paired to a
smartphone, you can use it to search for the smartphone and in the same vein,
the smartphone can be used to search for the device and any object it is
attached to.
The source
didn’t mention the connectivity feature but the sign indicates it uses
WiFi connection. The effective transmission distance of the smart anti-lost
device is 15 meters. When the connectivity range is exceeded, and the paired
device gets disconnected, both the mobile phone and the anti-lost device will
issue an alarm to alert the user.
The Booty smart anti-lost device uses a button
battery and can be replaced by opening the back cover. The official claims the
battery can last up to one year. The device is on sale at Xiaomi Youpin Mall, priced at 99 yuan (US$ 14).
It comes in white, blue and pink colour variants.
