vivo just finished off its presentation on the brand
new Z1 Pro. It’s a device aimed at Gen-Z consumers with a large punch hole
display, triple camera setup and beefy 5,000 mAh battery. Visually the device
is identical to the vivo Z5x but it does change up the chipset and selfie
camera.
Front and center we have a 6.53-inch IPS LCD of FHD+
resolution. It’s the second vivo phone with a punch hole in the screen housing
its 32MP F/2.0 selfie cam in the top left corner. Around the back the Z1 Pro features
a triple camera array with a 16MP f/1.78 main snapper, an 8 MP F/2.2 ultra-wide
angle unit and a 2 MP F/2.4 depth sensor.
Inside we have the Snapdragon 712 SoC alongside 4 or
6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. vivo is also throwing in its Cooling and Game
Turbo modes for a more immersive experience. The Ultra Game mode, in
particular, brings improved surround sound and haptic gaming feedback during
gaming sessions. There’s also a voice changer function alongside a sound
localization training center which will help you improve your skills in titles
such as PUBG Mobile.
To help keep you playing longer, the vivo Z1 Pro
packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging over microUSB. The Z1 Pro also
comes with reverse charging to act as a power bank for other phones and
accessories. On the software front, the device runs vivo’s Funtouch 9 on top of
Android Pie.
The vivo Z1 Pro will be available in Sonic Black,
Sonic Blue and Mirror Black colors starting July 11 on vivo’s site and
Flipkart. The base 4/64 GB configuration starts at INR 14,990 (US$ 217) while the
top specd, 6/128GB variant will set buyers back INR 17,990 (US$ 261).
