Even though it was originally released back in
September 2018, Huawei’s MediaPad M5 is only now making its way to India. The
budget-friendly device aims to tick all the essential tablet checkboxes in a
slim and light package. It features a metal body and weighs in at 460 grams.
The display comes in at 10.1-inches with an FHD
resolution and a 16:10 aspect and is flanked by dual speaker setup. The front
houses a 2MP cam for selfies and video calls.
The Kirin 659 SoC powers the affordable tablet with
either 2GB or 3GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB storage expandable via microSD. Around
the back, we have a 5MP camera. On the software front, Huawei is sticking to
the outdated Android Oreo with its custom EMUI 8.0 on top. The MediaPad T5's battery has
5,100 mAh capacity and charges over the dated microUSB port.
