Honor 9X is set to arrive next week, but the Huawei
subsidiary already revealed the design of the phone from the back. The Kirin
810-powered midranger will have three cameras on the back and a fingerprint
scanner on the side, just like its flagship siblings Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro.
The device also appeared on TENAA with its full
specs sheet, although the agency is yet to publish images. We see two phones
with model numbers HLK-AL00 and HLK-TL00 which will have up to 8 GB RAM, 256 GB
storage and a microSD slot for up to 512 gigs more for all the memory you need.
Interestingly enough, we see a phone with three
cameras on the back, while TENAA lists devices with only two shooters(48 MP
main + 2 MP depth sensor), suggesting we might be looking at the upcoming 9X
Pro in Honor’s Weibo post, while the specs sheet are linked to the vanilla 9X.
If we take the data at face value and the difference
between the variants is only the amount of cameras, then the Honor 9X Pro will
have a 6.59” LCD. Other highlights include a battery with at least 3,900 mAh capacity,
Android 9-based EMUI 9.0 (or probably 9.1) and a massive weight of 206 grams.
The phone’s footprint is 163. 1 x 77.2 x 8.8 mm, making it an impressively big
device for all the multimedia you might want.
We are expecting more details to follow in the
upcoming days to the launch on July 23 that will take place in Xi’an, China.
