According to Sammobile, an authoritative site on all
thing Samsung, Samsung mobile India will be holding an exclusive preview of the
Galaxy A80 in different Indian cities next week, suggesting it could go on sale
in the country soon. The events, which will be held on June 8 and June 9, will
allow fans to experience the phone ahead of the launch.
While there is no words from Samsung confirming
same, the report says the event will hold in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad on June
8th, while fans in Bangalore, and Kolkata will experience the Galaxy A80 on
June 9th at 6pm IST. Specific details about the venue and participation will be
announced soon. The Galaxy A80- Samsung
first smartphone with a pop-up, and a “revolutionary” rotating camera
was announced back in April with a motorized pop-up and a spring-loaded rotate
mechanism that turn the rear camera to face forward for your selfie needs.
Available in Gold, Ghost White and Phantom Black
colors, the A80 is priced at 649 Euros in the EU region, and as per a Sammobile
report, the A80 will cost somewhere between Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 in India.
The Galaxy A80 rotating camera module is fitted with
a 48-megapixel primary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, secondary, 8-megapixel
123° ultra wide-angle lens and a 3D Depth camera for Live Focus by scanning
objects for measurement and depth. The three cameras can be used for both
selfies and normal shoots, but automatically pop-up from the back of the phone
and rotate for selfie shoots when the camera app is activated for same.
The A80 flaunts a 6.7” Super AMOLED screen with
1,080 x 2,400px resolution and an in-display fingerprint reader, and under the
hood, the device houses the Octa-Core Snapdragon 730G SoC with 8GB of RAM 128gb
