As well as announcing the availability of their
newly updated Rock Pi 4 mini PC and redesigned Rock Pi Poe HAT, Radxa has also
announced the imminent availability of its Rock Pi S mini PC. The Rock Pi S is
priced from US$ 9.90 and is equipped with 256MB RAM and has been created to
provide a mini PC for Internet of Things and audio applications.
The headless single board computer (SBC) measures
just 38.1 x 38.1mm in size yet offers a choice of 256MB or 512MB RAM clocked at
1178Mbps to support the new Rockchip RK3308 system-on-chip. The Rock Pi S is
also equipped with a microSD slot and can be fitted with 1GB to 8GB of optional
NAND flash.
Connectivity on the tiny Rock Pi S mini PC include a
10/100 Ethernet port, USB 2.0 host and USB 2.0 OTG Type-C ports, as well as
well support for via 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 with an external
antenna. Radxa is also made available optional Power over Ethernet (PoE) via an
additional HAT which is available to purchase separately.
