Oukitel K12 made its debut during the Global Sources
Electronics Exhibition back in February and today, the Chinese manufacturer
announced the official market launch of the phone. The K12 is coming to offer a
huge, 1000mAh battery together with fast charging support as well as other
respectable hardware specs and it is available at a discounted price until June
17th on Oukitel’s Official Store.
No matter the hardware of a smartphone, if it sports
a huge 10000mAh battery, it will last long no matter what. If you combine that
battery with the power conservative Helio P35 SoC, then you have the Oukitel
K12 that can last up to one week of use on a single charge, with standby time
reaching up to 31days. And if you are a video lover, then you can watch your
favorite videos at max brightness and volume for 14.5 hours continuously. Of
course, the music playback lasts far longer, up to 54 hours while gaming can
keep you company for 11 hours.
As always, there are no miracles happening nowadays
so a battery this big takes a long time to recharge. For that reason, Oukitel
reduced this time to a minimum by offering a 5V/6A quick charger in the box.
Compared to a 9V/2A quick charger, it saves up to 2 hours charging time.
OUKITEL Lab compared the charging speed of the K12’s 5V/6A charger to the 9V/2A
found in Honor 8X Max that sports a 5000mAh battery. The battery of Oukitel K12
is double than the one found on Honor’s device, yet it takes almost the same
time to fully charge both devices. It took Oukitel K12 just 2 hours and 15
minutes to charge the 1000mAh battery while its opponent needed 2 hours and 25
minutes! Check out the video below to see for yourselves.
Oukitel K12 comes with a 6.3″ FHD+ display with
19.5:9 aspect ratio, offering high color contrast and color saturation for
images and videos. It also sports fingerprint and grease resistance thanks to
the anti-fingerprint oleophobic coating. As for the back panel, it comes with a
leather texture back cover for a luxurious hand feel and visual effect. Moving
on to the hardware, it is powered by the highly efficient Helio P35 octa-core
SoC backed by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Helio P35
outperforms its predecessor by up to 38%, delivering a smooth experience and
ample storage. Helio P35 is manufactured by 12nm process and the GPU is the
GE8320 clocked at 680MHz.
Of course, the K12 couldn’t come with anything less
than a dual rear camera. And it is a good one too as it features a Sony 16MP
sensor accompanied by a 2MP secondary one. It supports face beauty mode, bokeh
mode, Mono mode, Pro mode, and Amusing funny scene shoot. The selfie shooter
gets an 8MP sensor placed in the waterdrop notch, offering wide-angle group
selfies.
Oukitel K12 is another great example of the
company’s capacity and experience in delivering big battery phones at a
cost-effective price. It supports many WCDMA and 4G bands and can be considered
to be a global phone. During the presale that ends on June 24th, you can grab
yours for just US$ 239.99 on Aliexpress.
