Huawei is gearing up to release two new handsets in
their nova range with the nova 5i and nova 5. The two midrangers are expected
to come with different names according to the region they are sold in with the
nova 5 pro replacing the nova 5 in China for example.
New leaks from Chinese online retailer Suning
suggest the phones will launch at the end of this month and we are also treated
to some new case and screen protector leaks. We can see that the nova 5 will
have slim bezels with a slightly larger chin in the bottom. The case, on the
other hand, shows the vertical camera alignment as well as a hole for the 3.5mm
audio jack in the bottom left.
We also got an updated spec sheet for the nova 5. It
will feature a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with an UD fingerprint reader while the
internals will rely on the flagship Kirin 980 chipset. The main camera is
expected to feature a 48MP sensor. Battery capacity should be 4,200 mAh with
blazing fast 44W charging support.
Overall, the two phones are shaping up to quite
interesting, but we’ll have to wait and see how Huawei decides to price them.
