Recently, Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone passed
the 3C certification and it is now closer to the market. At present, there is
no official release date for the Mate X. However, third-party stores such as
Taobao has already commenced pre-sales. The store promises that this foldable
phone will be shipped around June 24. However, the price is as high as 24,999
yuan (US$ 3611).
Huawei said that its 5G mobile phone has not been
officially sold, and it must be sold in official Huawei channels. It is
reported that Mate X is Huawei’s first folding screen mobile phone, which uses
an imaginative eagle-wing folding design. It fits snugly when folded, and
flat/natural when unfolded. At the same time, the power and fingerprint keys
are combined into one, which is cleverly integrated into the thin border.
Looking at the core configuration, this device
adopts an 8-inch display and it is powered by a Kirin 980 processor. This chip
is supported with Huawei’s first 7nm 5G chip Balong 5000. The battery capacity
is 4500mAh and it supports up to 55W super fast charge. This 5G phone comes
with a 6.6-inch (2480 x 1148 pixels) 19.5:9 OLED display (when folded, and an 8-inch (2480 x 2200 pixels) OLED 8:7.1
display when unfolded), an 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, a 512GB storage, Android 9.0 out of
the box, a 40MP + 16MP + 8MP rear camera, and more. According to the official
introduction, Huawei Mate X supports 5G network, with a peak rate of 4.6Gbps,
and it takes only 3 seconds to download a 1GB movie. The speed is beyond imagination.
