Following a successful meeting between Qualcomm and
Xiaomi executives, Global VP of Xiaomi, Manu Kumar Jain tweets a teaser about a
future Xiaomi device that will be powered by either the Snapdragon 730 or 730G. In the teaser, Jain mentions that
a new Xiaomi device with the updated CPU is coming to India soon.
Of course, the teaser doesn’t explicitly mention
which chipset it will use, but the hint indirectly points to the Snapdragon 730
– which was unveiled two weeks ago alongside the Snapdragon 730G, both built on
the 8mm process for better efficiency.
The device in question is believed to be the Xiaomi
MI A3, which is currently rumored to have a triple camera, the Snapdragon 730,
and a 4,000 mAh battery. The triple camera will feature a 48MP main camera, an
8MP camera, and a 13MP camera, likely to be a telephoto and ultra-wide camera.
There’s no information on pricing or availability
but we should be seeing Xiaomi’s next device launch in China shortly before
making it to the Indian market. Other rumors for the Mi A3 include an
in-display fingerprint sensor and an OLED panel.
We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more about an
upcoming Xiaomi device announcement.
