Lenovo unveiled a new Ego Digital Smartwatch in
India at an affordable price of INR 1999 (US$ 28.6) and will be available on
Flipkart and Croma from 16 May. The new wearable product from the Chinese
company blends features of both digital as well as a fitness watch. It offers
features such as heart-rate monitoring, sleep tracking, step count among
others. Lenovo is aiming to improve its presence in the affordable wearable
market in India.
Lenovo Ego carries a 1.6-inch anti-reflective
monochrome display with night light mode. It brings Bluetooth 4.0 to connect
with all the iOS and Android smartphones instantly. The smartwatch facilitates
users with features like Sleep tracking, Activity tracking and Swim tracking.
It offers 24 hours real-time heart rate monitoring even while performing
different activities like – cycling, running and exercising.
Its 50-meter water resistance comes handy to count
calories burnt and record your laps while swimming. Lenovo Ego can control the
smartphone camera from a distance and can snap pictures with a single tap on
the smartwatch display.
Lenovo Ego comes with 20-day battery life on a
single charge, however, it depends on the usage patterns. User can easily get
all the notifications from calls, messages, and other third-party apps straight
to the digital smartwatch via its smart notifications feature. User can easily connect the
smartwatch with the iOS and Android smartphones using Lenovo Life app.
