Xiaomi has partnered with LINE FRIENDS to bring a
limited edition Brown Bear Mi 9 SE. The device is customized with the friendly
character’s logo on the back of the phone along with a custom LINE FRIENDS
theme. It comes in a special packaging which includes a case, 10,000 mAh power
bank (MSRP CNY 99), certificate and stickers all bearing the LINE FRIENDS
character.
In terms of hardware, this is the same Snapdragon
712-powered Mi 9 SE which we know. The device features a 5.97-inch Super AMOLED
panel with a waterdrop notch for the 20MP selfie camera. There is an in-display
fingerprint sensor, just like the standard Mi 9. Around the back lies the
triple camera setup with 48MP (main), 13MP (wide), and 8MP (telephoto) sensors
and flash.
The battery is 3070 mAh and supports 18W fast
charging. The limited edition phone is available only in the 6GB RAM and 128 GB
storage option in the purple gradient colour.
You can pre-order the Brown Bear Mi 9 SE starting
today for CNY 2499 (US$ 370/€ 330) on Xiaomi’s website. The official launch date is
scheduled for April 9.
