After teasing the digital Xbox One edition for quite
some time, Microsoft has today announced its availability and launched the
digital version of its Xbox One S without a disc player. Microsoft today
confirmed that the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition Games console will be priced at
£ 199.99 or US$ 249.99 depending on your location and is identical to the regular
Xbox One S minus the optical drive.
Microsoft is bundling the new Xbox One S All-Digital
console with three games in the form of Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3, and Sea of
Thieves and an Xbox Wireless Controller. Microsoft has made the new console
available to preorder from the official online Microsoft Store together with
other selected retailers. Microsoft is also offering customers the chance to
purchase a three-month trial of Xbox Game Pass for £ 1 or US$ 1. Shipping is
expected to take place on May 7th, 2019 as always online multiplayer on Xbox
requires Xbox Live Gold subscription available as a separate purchase.
Interestingly on the same day Microsoft unveiled
their new digital edition Xbox, Sony has
also revealed the first details about its new PlayStation 5 console, teasing
the hardware that might be available for gamers when it officially launches.
