Oppo’s A-series of phones will soon have a new top
dog – the Oppo A9. Leaked info about the phone suggests it could be unveiled
next week and puts the price around CNY 1,700 (US$ 250/€ 225).
The phone sports a dual camera on its back with a
48MP main sensor, similar to the Reno. There’s no pop-up cameras here, though,
just a regular selfie cam inside a teardrop notch. The Oppo A9 has a fingerprint
reader on the back. The vertical branding matches the most recent design
language from Oppo.
The battery inside the phone will have 4,020mAh
capacity and will benefit from VOOC 3.0 fast charging (20W). The phone should
have three color versions at launch: Ice Jade White, Mica Green and Fluorite
Purple.
The A9 will come with a single memory configuration
- 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The chipset is unknown, but the A-series tend
to use MediaTek chipsets (and a few entry-level Snapdragons). The phone should
be unveiled on April 30 (next Tuesday) if the leak is correct.
