Huawei just launched its first ultrabook in the
Philippines, the Matebook 13 i5 and i7 versions. First announced earlier this year
at CES, Huawei's Matebook 13 is the more affordable Macbook competitor. It
comes with premium aluminum body and glass full view screen, Intel's i5 and i7
8th Gen chips, fast charging tech, and Huawei Share OneHop File Transfer
technology.
In particular, Matebook 13 features a 13-inch screen
with 2160 x 1440 resolution at 200 ppi, 170-degree wide viewing angle, and 300
nits of brightness. Huawei also claimed that it has support for 100 percent
sRGB color gamut. The i5 version comes with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD storage. The
i7 variant will feature a beefier 512GB SSD storage. Both also comes with 25 Watt
TDP variant of the GeForce MX150 GPU.
Both models comes with 41.8WHr LiPo battery with
fast charging support. Huawei says that 15 minutes of charge can give you 2.5
hours of use. The laptops also comes with 2 USB-C ports with one of them also works
as a charging port, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a power button that doubles as a
fingerprint scanner.
The laptop also has the new Huawei Share OneHop
feature which allows the a Huawei smartphone to transfer multiple files from
their Huawei smartphone to the Matebook 13 instantaneously. The i5 version is priced at just
PHP 55,990. The i7 model retails for PHP 69,990. For the first two months, the
i5 version will come with a FREE mouse and bag bundle. On the other hand, the
i7 edition will come with a FREE mouse, bag, dock (USB, HDMI, Type-C) bundle.
