It has been months since HTC had launched a
mid-range or high-end smartphones. A report from last December said that it
will launch new mid-tier to high-end models in 2019, after confirming that it
is not shutting down its smartphone business. Now the company’s first
smartphone for the year has surfaced in benchmarks. “HTC 2Q7A100” benchmark
listing reveals a Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB of RAM and Android 9.0 (Pie).
AnTuTu benchmark listing also reveals a Full HD+
(2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 aspect ratio screen for the smartphone without a
notch and 128GB storage. Other details of the smartphone such as display size,
camera and battery capacity have not been revealed yet. It has scored 169,617
points on AnTuTu, which is similar to most other Snapdragon 710-powered
smartphones.
We should know more details about the smartphone as
the company is expected to launch few mid-range models sometime in Q2 2019.
