The name Vivienne
Tam might not ring a bell if you are not a fashion aficionado. Vivienne Tam is
a popular New York-based fashion designer born in Guangzhou, China. Honor has
partnered with her on a special edition Honor Magic 2 phone.
The special edition
Magic 2 doesn’t have any custom engraving or custom theme as some other limited
edition phones. There is a custom case though and a T-shirt with a similar
design to the one on the case.
We are not sure yet
if there is a special bundle but based on the images shared on Weibo by the
official Honor account, it appears interested folks may be able to buy the
custom case, T-shirts, and other branded products separately without having to
purchase the phone. However, there is no info on pricing and availability yet.
It is not unusual
for Chinese brands to collaborate with fashion brands/designers. OnePlus
partnered with JCC for the OnePlus 5 JCC Edition back in 2017. OPPO also
partnered with fashion expert, Massaba Gupta for the OPPO F3 Rose Gold Edition.
