ASRock has unveiled a new
fanless mini PC this week in the form of a small Intel Whiskey Lake-U ASRock
iBOX system, which is one of the first mini PCs available equipped with the
Whiskey Lake-U chips.Processor options include the ability to install a choice
from three 15W chips I3-8145U DC, 2.1G, I5-8265U QC, 1.6GHz and I7-8565U QC,
1.8G.
The Whiskey Lake-U within the mini PC can be
supported by up to 32 GB of memory thanks to the inclusion of a single DDR4
SO-DIMM 2133MHz slot. Together with Intel U HD Graphics 620 and a Realtek
RTL8111H and 1 x Intel I219LM LAN Chipset. Created for industrial applications
the mini PC is equipped with a rugged external casing with integrated cooling
