Vivo V1818EA and V1818ET that are variants of an
upcoming Vivo phone in China have received approvals from TENAA telecom
authority. The entire specifications and images of the mysterious phone have
been leaked through its TENAA approval. It seems that it is the next
budget-friendly Vivo smartphone that will soon debut in the home market.
In terms of specs, there is no major difference
between the Vivo V1818EA and V1818ET smartphones. The Vivo 1818EA/ET measures
155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28mm and it weighs 163.5 grams. The smartphone is fitted
with a waterdrop notched 6.2-inch HD+ display that carries support for HD+
resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It includes a battery of 3,935mAh capacity.
The smartphone is powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core
processor and 3 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 32 GB. There is a
microSD card slot on the device for additional storage. The rear shell of the
phone has 13-megapixel rear camera and a frontal shooter of 5-megapixel. The
handset is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The rear shell of the Vivo V1818EA/ET sports a
gradient hue, but it seems to be made out of plastic. There is no fingerprint
scanner on the device which indicates that the phone will rely on Face Unlock
for unlocking. Even though the handset can be seen in black-blue color
gradient, the TENAA listing suggests that it will be also available in Gold.
There is no information
available on the specifications and pricing of the smartphone. Vivo has
recently introduced Vivo U1 as its first U-series phone in China. Could this be
another U-series phone from the company? It is advisable to wait for further
reports to confirm on its final moniker.
On March 1, Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO will be announcing
its first flagship gaming phone. It features in-display fingerprint scanner
enabled AMOLED screen of 6.41 inches that supports full HD+ resolution. It is
powered by Snapdragon 855, 12 GB of RAM and 4,000mAh battery. Its other
features include triple rear cameras, 4D shock and 44W rapid charging.
