Oppo A7 arrived officially back in November in
select markets. It had a 14 nm process chipset and huge battery, but it appears
the company will launch a refresh with few specs changes dubbed Oppo A5s.
The display is pictured with a waterdrop notch, and
according to the leaked specs, it will be a 6.2” LCD with HD+ resolution. The
selfie shooter, tucked in the cutout, is 8 MP f/2.0, while the main camera
setup is 13 MP f/2.2 + 2 MP f/2.4.
The Helio P35 chipset has the same CPU configuration
as the Helio P30, but comes with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has plenty of AI camera
features and is built on the TSMC 12 nm process. The Oppo A5s will have 2/3/4
GB RAM and either 32 or 64 GB storage, with a separate microSD slot.
The Oppo A7 was introduced in Gold and Green. Both
colors will be seen in the Oppo A5s, but this time they will have Black and Red
to keep them company. The battery still has the very ample 4,230 mAh capacity.
