This month Canon has unveiled its new CLIQ compact
instant cameras designed to offer competition to the Fujifilm Instax mini-film
range of cameras. Two cameras currently take up the range in the form of the
Canon IVY CLIQ+ in the US and throughout Europe known as the Zoemini S. Both
offer an 8-megapixel sensor, 2 x 2 and 2 x 3 printing options, expansion via a
microSD card slot, a reprint option to share recent shots with friends if
desired.
The camera also features a selfie mirror surround by
an LED light ring and will be available to purchase from online and high street
retailers during April 2019 and will be priced at US$ 160 and will be supplied
with 10 sheets of 2 x 3 photo paper to get you started. Available finishes
include Pearl White, Sapphire Blue, or Ruby Red.
The more affordable IVY CLIQ camera will be known as
the Zoemini C throughout Europe and is equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor,
along with the same 2 x 2 and 2 x 3 printing options, expandable microSD card
storage, and selfie mirror. Although this camera is not equipped with an LED
light ring and therefore is priced at just US$ 99 and also includes 10 sheets of
paper to get you started.
