Sony has also announced a new open-ear Bluetooth stereo
headset; the SBH82D. It is lightweight, compact and foldable, and the wireless
behind-the-neck design is shaped for comfortable, all-day listening.
The SBH82D features the inner structure to Xperia
Ear Duo which allows users to listen to their music while being able to hear
the surroundings thanks to its open-ear style design. SBH82D also supports
Google Assistant and Siri voice assistant functions, as well as hands-free
talk. The Behind-neck cable length is 255 mm and the headphone cable length is
210 mm.
The company claims that the headphone can las up to
7.5 hours of music time, 8 hours of talk time and stand by time of approx 200
hours. It takes two hours of charging time from charging adapter. It has LED
indicators and a multi-function key to Answer/reject/end call.
Play/pause/skip/return the music track. You can also activate voice assistant
for Google or Siri. It connects via Bluetooth 4.2 and has support for NFC.
The headphones have a nominal Impedance of 32 ohms
(1kHz), the frequency response of 20–20,000Hz, it also features beat response
control and weighs 25.6 grams. The Sony SBH82D comes in Black, Gray, and Blue
colors and will be available in select markets from May 2019. No details about
the pricing yet.
