Samsung introduced the Galaxy Fit and Fit E. The
company claims these are made for all types of fitness enthusiasts, from casual
runners to athletes. It automatically starts tracking your activity when you
walk, run, bike, row, hop on the elliptical trainer or start a dynamic workout.
You can also manually select from more than 90
different activities in the Samsung Health app on your smartphone, and Galaxy
Fit will automatically start to track your chosen workout. The enhanced sleep
analysis and smart stress management allow you to monitor your wellbeing at any
time of the day.
The Galaxy Fit comes with a simple and intuitive UX
and a user-friendly smart experience. You can receive alerts and messages or
check the widget which includes information synced straight from your
smartphone —like alarm, calendar or weather. When you travel to a new time
zone, your Galaxy Fit will also automatically display a dual-clock watch face
to make it easier to manage your schedule.
The Galaxy Fit comes with a 0.95-inch (120 x 240
resolution) Full-Color AMOLED display with 282 ppi. It packs 512KB internal
RAM, 2048KB external RAM, 32MB external ROM. Connectivity features include NFC,
Bluetooth and sensor include HRM, Accelerometer, Gyroscope. It packs a 120mAh
battery and is 5ATM water resistance and MIL-STD 810G durable It runs on
Realtime OS.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Fit E sports a
0.74-inch (64 x 128) PMOLED display with 193 ppi. It packs 128KB internal RAM,
4MB external ROM. Connectivity features include Bluetooth and sensor include
HRM, Accelerometer. It packs a 70mAh battery is 5ATM water resistance and
MIL-STD 810G durable and runs on Realtime OS. It measures 16 x 40.2 x 10.9 and
weighs 15g. Both the activity trackers are compatible with Android 5.0 or above
with more than 1.5GB RAM and iPhone 5 and iOS 9.0 or above.
The Galaxy Fit comes in black and Silver colors and
is priced at US$ 99.99 and will be available from May 31.
While the Fit E comes in Black, White, Yellow colors and pricing is not
revealed yet.
