The Samsung Galaxy A50 was detailed in an extensive
leak, but its manual has surfaced as well to fill in some of the gaps left by
that. Plus, there’s a live photo of the phone to show off is iridescent blue
color. The manual goes into more detail on the main camera. It’s a 25MP
shooter with a 1/2.8” sensor, which means 0.9µm pixels. The lens has a bright
f/1.7 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The other two modules are
not described here, but from the previous leak we know they are an 8MP
ultra-wide shooter (fixed focus f/2.4 lens) and a 5MP depth sensor.
The 4,000mAh battery inside the Galaxy A50 will
support 15W Adaptive Fast Charging and it can be fully charged in 110 minutes,
just under two hours. Besides the USB-C port (v2.0), there will be a 3.5mm jack, which
wasn’t mentioned previously. It will support FM radio with RDS. The phone will
have a single speaker.
The A50 will come in single and dual SIM versions,
the latter will feature a three card tray, meaning a dedicated microSD slot.
There will be two memory configurations, 4/64GB and 6/128GB. The chassis is made of glossy
plastic available in Black, White and Blue. The last of those can be seen live
in the photo above. Note the lack of fingerprint reader on the back – that’s
built into the 6.4” 1080p+ Super AMOLED display.
