Newly surfaced details about the Moto Z4 Play make
it sound pretty close to the Motorola P40. We saw in the CAD-based renders that
it will feature a watrerdrop notch and a circular camera hump on the back.
That hump will house a 48MP sensor – not the Sony or
the Samsung one, but the S5KGM1SP by Q Technology. The P40 is also expected to
have a 48MP sensor, but it goes up to a dual camera on the back and a punch
hole selfie cam.
That aside, the similarities continue with the
Snapdragon 675 chipset paired to 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB storage. It should
run stock Android 9 Pie out of the box and sport a 3,600mAh battery. The front will house a 6.22”
display with an in-display fingerprint reader. This will likely be a Super
AMOLED panel.
The Moto Z4 Play is expected to come out some time
in the first six months of this year.
