Tablo Quad DVR

If you find advertising sometimes ruins your film and TV series viewing experience you may be interested in a new DVR created by Tablo which automatically skips advertising. The Tablo Quad DVR is expected to launch during Q1 2019 priced at around US$ 200. The DVR support 802.11ac WiFi or Gigabit ethernet, and supports Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Chromecast as well as Smart TVs.

The ability of the Tablo Quad to skip advertising is provided thanks to the external USB drives or internal SATA drives totaling up to 8TB, or around 166 straight days of HDTV content from an OTA antenna. To be able to skip advertising you will also need to subscribe to the optional guide data service priced at five dollars per month or US$ 150 for a lifetime subscription. As well as skipping advertising the subscription service also provides you with extra features such as episode and series synopses, cover art and metadata for programs, along with one-touch series recording and out-of-home streaming.
