Motorola launched its P30 smartphone series as a
continuation of the Moto X devices as a part of the Android One program. The
P30 Play arrived on the global scene as Motorola One, while the P30 Note is
called Moto One Power where Google services are available.
The 2019 iteration of an Android One phone is likely
to be called Moto P40 and the first renders already appeared online, courtesy
of 91mobiles and OnLeaks. They show that the phone will feature a punch hole in its screen for
the selfie camera, joining the Galaxy A8s, Honor V20 (aka View 20) and the
Huawei nova 4. There will be a 6.2” screen with tiny bezels from all sides,
with the bottom one having the Motorola logo. The left side is for the SIM
tray, while buttons will make their way on the right side.
The video reveals a USB-C port on the bottom, next
to the speaker grille, while the audio jack will be on the top. The Moto P40
will have rounded edges of the back and front for better grip, with both sides
having a protective glass panel.
The Moto P40 will measure 160.1 x 71.2 x 8.7 mm, but
the camera bump will stick out to 10 mm. The dual shooter on the back will be
in a vertical fashion, while the fingerprint scanner will have a Moto logo.
