Mobvoi, the company mostly known for its affordable
smartwatches, has just announced two new products at CES (Consumers Electronics
Show) 2019, TicWatch E2 and S2. Both smartwatches will be available for
purchase in the United States in the coming months for prices that will be
disclosed closer to launch.
The sequels to the original TicWatch E and TicWatch
S smartwatches, E2 and S2 pack Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipsets and offer
better battery life than their predecessors. Also, they sport 1.39-inch AMOLED
displays with 400x400 pixels resolution, built-in GPS, and heart rate sensor.
Both smartwatches are water resistant and pack
415mAh batteries inside. The fact that Mobvoi replaced the MediaTek processors
with Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets will have an impact on the price, so we
expect the TicWatch E2 and TicWatch S2 to be slightly more expensive than the
original models.
Little else is known about Mobvoi's new smartwatches
but anyone can sign up for updates since both the TicWatch E2 and TicWatch S2
now have dedicated pages on the company's website.
