Louis Vuitton has rolled out the 2019 edition of its
own Android Wear smartwatch – the upgraded Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon smartwatch, and unlike the 2017 Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon smartwatch, the new 2019
model is powered by the same SoC that powers the Montblanc smartwatch –
Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Wear 3100.
Given that the made-for-wearables chipset promises
new features, including much better battery life, the upgraded Louis Vuitton
Tambour Horizon smartwatch should boast of better battery life, and the maker
is putting that at 24hours and up to five additional days if you’re just using
it to display time.
The Snapdragon 3100 powered Louis Vuitton Tambour
Horizon retains the 1.2-inch round AMOLED touchscreen, but with improved
resolutions. The new watch also gets a white 24-hour ring decorated with
day/night indicator across the rim, which will be visible even in the ambient
mode.
The company in addition to the old color options
will be offering a new white ceramic option. Pricing and availability details
are yet to be announced.
