During CES 2019, LG
Electronics also launched new soundbars and XBOOM audio devices along with
their newest televisions. LG Electronics is updating their roster of soundbars.
They partnered with Meridian, a pioneer in Hige-Res Audio to produce the three
latest soundbar models they launched at CES 2019. These models are the SL10YG,
SL9YG, and SL8YG. LG said that the soundstage they aim for is geared towards a
more lifelike and immersive experience.
The three soundbar
models all support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The support of these two audio
technology promises realistic surround sound and good sound quality. The
soundbars are also supported by AI for smart connectivity as well as voice
recognition for the built-in Google Assistant.
Along with
soundbars, LG also expanded their XBOOM lineup. XBOOM is a family of mini
components, all-in-one units, portable Bluetooth speakers and AI ThinQ smart
speakers. The new XBOOM products will have features like the DJ Star where
users can be a DJ with party-oriented features to control their music. In
addition, the Karaoke Star feature can suppress the vocals of any song you put
on for you to sing along with.
Pricing and
availability for the new soundbars and XBOOM audio devices are yet to be
confirmed. We will make sure to update you as soon as we get more information.
