If you wish that your Google Pixel 3 XL had a
physical keyboard, case manufacturer Tech21 has the solution. Spotted at CES
this past week by 9to5Google, the company's Evo Type case, designed
specifically for the Pixel 3 XL, features a soft touch physical QWERTY that
might make it easier to type long texts and emails. The keyboard connects
wirelessly using NFC, and the accessory won't be a burden on your handset's
battery. The case also doubles as a stand, allowing the user to find the most
comfortable position for typing, and for viewing video content.
The physical keyboard doesn't have keys as it relies
on touch sensors instead, and the entire keyboard appears to be on the
smallish-side. The company says that owners of the case will get use to the
size and the feel of the QWERTY over time.
Pricing for the case has yet to be announced.
Considering that the company's regular Pixel 3 XL cases are in the US$ 45-$50
range, we probably will see the Evo Type offered at a price north of that
range. The accessory is expected to be released some time this coming spring.
