ASUS has officially introduced
the Max M2 in the Philippines. It's the newest affordable handset of the
Taiwanese company equipped with mid-range grade internals. ASUS ZenFone Max M2 features a
metal clad body and a big 6.3-inch 19:9 screen with a notch. It only has an HD+
resolution, but it has 88 percent high screen-to-body ratio.
Inside, it is one of the first with Qualcomm's new
14nm Snapdragon 632 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. The CPU has a max clock speed of
1.8GHz. In total, it have 40 percent higher CPU performance and 10 percent
better GPU performance than the older Snapdragon 626. ASUS paired it with 3GB RAM, 32GB
storage, and the usual big 4,000mAh battery. ASUS claimed that it has up to 21
hours of video playback. There's no word if it has fast charging support
though.
The cameras are interesting as well. At the back,
there's a 13MP f/1.8 primary shooter paired with a 2MP sensor. The main camera
has PDAF focus. On the other hand, the secondary shooter is a depth sensor for
bokeh shots. It can even record up to 4K UHD videos and has 3-axis electronic
image stabilization. Selfies are also important. It has an 8MP f/2.0 shooter with
softlight LED flash.
