After Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus surfaced earlier this
month, Moto G7 Play, sucessor of the Moto G6 Play has passed through the FCC
revealing some of the specifications of the phone. The certifid site shows a notch
display that houses the earpiece, front camera and a flash. It has a single
rear camera with LED flash and a
fingerprint sensor on the back with Moto logo, same as the Moto G6 Play,
however the micro USB port has been replaced by USB Type-C Port. It comes in
both single and dual SIM models, and the dual SIM version has a dedicated dual
SIM and microSD slots arranged in a single tray.
The certification site also reveals 1.8GHz Octa-Core
Snapdragon 632 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU, compared to the
Snapdragon 430 SoC in the predecessor, however the 4000mAh battery on the G6
Play has been downgraded to 3000mAh.
The Moto G7 Play is expected to come in Black and
Blue colors. We should know more details in the coming weeks. It could go
official sometime in December or in January along with the Moto G7 and G7 Plus.
