Microsoft has
announced its new product Surface Go and is currently available pre-orders in
India. The new product is reportedly the most affordable product in the
company’s portfolio which comes at a price of Rs. 37,999 (US$ 528). The new
Surface Go is considered to be the smallest two-in-one devices and most
portable surface device in India.
The new extremely
portable notebook sports a 10-inch screen which comes with an optional
keyboard. There is an LTE variant of Surface Go but sadly only Wi-Fi variants
will be made available in India. The affordable laptop is driven by Intel
Pentium Gold 4415Y which contains a 2 core, 4-thread chip. The product is
manufactured in two variants 4GB RAM and 8 GB RAM consisting a 64GB eMMC and
128GB respectively. The company has provided the device with a 9 hour long
battery life.
The key feature of
this device is the signature built-in kickstand which helps you to use it in
any suitable position. The connectivity options include a USB –C 3.1 port which
can be either used for charging or exchanging data.
At the moment,
pre-orders in India have opened for the detachable only through Flipkart. The
base 4GB RAM variant of the device carries a price tag of Rs 37,999 and the top
8GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 49,999 (US$ 695). On top of that, there’s an
option to buy the Surface Go Type Cover and the Signature Type Cover with an
additional price of Rs. 8,699 and Rs. 11,799 respectively.
